Hamilton County Court Receives Ohio Supreme Court Technology Grant

The Hamilton County Probate Court website will undergo an upgrade with a grant from the Ohio Supreme Court’s Ohio Courts Technology Initiative.

Supreme Court Chief Justice Maureen O’Connor today delivered a check for $40,760.

“I am pleased to personally present this check on behalf of the Supreme Court. It is important that we support local court technology projects to remove any barriers to the efficient and effective administration of justice,” Chief Justice O’Connor said.

The grant will be used to update the probate court’s website to include accessibility features for visitors with visual impairments and an e-filing feature.

“I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the Ohio Supreme Court and Chief Justice Maureen O’Connor as the recipient of the technology grant. We will now be able to make records and forms more accessible to our community and, in doing so, become a more efficient and effective court in the administration of justice,” Judge Ralph Winkler said.

The Supreme Court has awarded more than $1.9 million to local courts across Ohio for technology projects such as electronic document filing, case management system software, and electronic kiosks for self-represented litigants.
